Updated Styling

Updated styling for the new 2026 MT-03 includes an all-new tail section with a new taillight design, along with subtle refinements to the front-end exterior design bringing a more unified look with its MT-series siblings.

Smartphone Connectivity

The 2026 MT-03 now features Yamaha Motorcycle Connect (Y-Connect) smartphone connectivity which works in conjunction with the free-of-charge Y-Connect app (available for iOS and Android) to enable a direct connection between motorcycle and smartphone. Y-Connect capability for the MT-03 includes the ability to view incoming call, email and message notifications. Additional useful functions include monitoring and notifying the rider or other contact of motorcycle technical issues, and also the ability to track and record key motorcycle ride data within the app, including distance covered, fuel consumption, acceleration, motorcycle location and much more.

New LCD Display

An all-new LCD instrument cluster now displays connected smartphone information along with vital vehicle data. There is also a new USB-A socket located next to the display providing convenient power for phone charging or heated gear.

New Assist & Slipper Clutch

A new Assist & Slipper (A&S) clutch utilizes an assist cam and slipper cam to help inhibit excessive engine braking for a smooth, easy-to-handle feeling during downshifts while also reducing the amount of force required to pull the clutch lever for less hand fatigue. The shape of the clutch lever has also been optimized for enhanced feel.

Improved Ergonomics

A slimmer seat and side covers improve the rider's foot reach to the ground while retaining the MT-03 s comfortable riding position. Additionally, a new passenger seat design is wider and the cushioning is thicker for greater passenger comfort.

This 321cc liquid-cooled two-cylinder engine features lightweight forged pistons and carburized connecting rods, delivering easy to manage power in the low rpm range with strong high rpm power. The new Assist & Slipper Clutch provides an extremely light clutch feel making the MT-03 even more fun in the city, while its offset cylinders and advanced fuel injection system ensures smooth throttle response.

Dual Position Lights with Singular LED Headlight

The dynamic MT-03 looks cool with its dual angled position lights that emphasize its aggressive big-bike looks. A single compact and powerful LED headlight burns a hole through the darkness to light up the road ahead.

Aggressive Next-Gen MT Design

There's absolutely no mistaking that the MT-03 is a member of Yamaha's legendary Hyper Naked family. An all-new tail section combines with the aggressive front light assembly, bold air scoops and a sculpted fuel tank, providing the new MT-03 with a true Master of Torque presence.

Inverted KYB Front Fork

The MT-03's serious big-bike specification is underlined with the addition of an inverted KYB front fork. Equipped with 37mm tubes and a cast aluminum upper triple clamp, the front end reinforces the bike's high-specification and delivers a confident and smooth ride during braking, acceleration and cornering.

Yamaha's 321cc liquid-cooled, inline two-cylinder engine delivers excellent power and performance throughout the rpm range. With a 180-degree crank design and integrated counterbalancer, the layout minimizes vibrations for a smooth, refined engine character.

With double overhead cams (DOHC) and four-valve cylinder heads, the MT-03 engine provides easy-to-manage power at low rpms with strong rpm power-”ultimately delivering an exciting ride with a broad spread of power.

Advanced Cylinder Construction

Yamaha's unique DiASil-”a high-silicon aluminum alloy-”is used in the cylinders to ensure excellent heat dissipation. An innovative offset cylinder design helps reduce friction and provides better efficiency, quicker response and great overall engine performance.

Strong & Lightweight Forged Pistons

Forged aluminum pistons-”the same technology in the MT-10-”contributes to reduced power loss and lower vibration levels. This design results in minimized vibrations and smooth running, even at high rpm.

The MT-03 is equipped with a 22.6-inch long asymmetrical swingarm that provides a planted ride during braking, cornering and acceleration.

Potent Braking with Standard ABS

The 298mm floating-mount front disc brake ensures excellent stopping power, supported by a 220mm rear disc. The MT-03 ABS model also features an anti-lock braking system to boost rider confidence and prevent wheel lock-ups in reduced-traction conditions.
